Our Why
Our reason to exist is rooted in a simple belief:
Young people should not be defined by the limitations of their environment.
Some young people grow up without access to positive networks, opportunities or role models. Without intentional support, they may struggle to see a future beyond the circumstances around them.
The 100 Black Men Movement seeks to change that. We believe every African and Black person should have the opportunity to create the life they envision.
The 100 Black Men Movement of Southern Africa is committed to developing leaders and educating the public while advancing the global Black community.
Our work is centred on mentorship, education, leadership development, community engagement and creating opportunities for young people to fulfil their potential.
Our 100 Rites of Passage Leadership Institute (100 ROPLI) prepares youth and members for leadership roles within the organisation and beyond. 100 ROPLI serves as a catalyst for change by equipping emerging leaders with the skills, knowledge and networks needed to make meaningful contributions to their communities and industries.
